The StarCraft II engine and editor are incredibly awesome and they make it really fast and easy to prototype and build games that fit within their wheelhouse. I don't think we should have been encouraging that kind of development with the editor because that just isn't what it was really built for and it was only going to create a serious challenge and a lot of frustration for modders attempting it (though some have very impressively created these kinds of games). Personally I think it was a miss to show things like a first/third person shooter. It is my hope that we will be able to build these tutorials into the editor itself at some point, but for now I am happy that they are out there and available. These newer tutorials can be found on the left side as everything below the "01 Introduction" header.

Some are already out of date (mostly stuff that involves the website or launcher), but modders have put it up on a github that can be found here: r/wow /r/diablo /r/hearthstone /r/heroesofthestorm /r/overwatchĪ few years back we actually worked together with modders to create a sizable chunk of documentation for the StarCraft II editor but never publicly released it.
